Our weekly practice often allots limited private face-to-face time with Ven. Wanji during practice interviews. However, we also recognize that some people desire to have regular private meetings with Wanji Sunim for the sake of spiritual counseling and life coaching.
Perhaps the best explanation of our spiritual counseling and life coaching services is to describe them as a mixture of meeting with a psychotherapist and a consultant simultaneously. Staying true to Zen form, it's helpful to spend some time addressing issues and patterns from the past, however, once these things are examined we utilize your current moment-to-moment experience as a catalyst for true spiritual and lifestyle transformation and growth.
Buddhist Spiritual Counseling and Life Coaching alike allow you to examine yourself in an environment of compassion, honesty, safety, confidence and non-judgment. Through contemplative self-examination and powerful spiritual based dialogue, you will discover and pragmatically realize methods that allow you to cut through the delusion and dissatisfaction that may be present in your life, whilst embracing life's inherent wonder and bliss.
Consultations in the form of both Spiritual Counseling and Life Coaching are offered of the basis of being open ended, or goal oriented, long term or short term. These processes are truly custom tailored to your life situation and specific needs. Whilst Spiritual Counseling tends to take the overt form of engaging the Zen Buddhist process, Life Coaching is much more secular. None-the-less, all of our services are equally available to all people regardless of spiritual affiliation or identification. You need not be a member or, nor affiliated with Beyond Walls Zen to engage Life Coaching or Spiritual Counseling.
